This well-curated institution seamlessly captures the essence of the Revolutionary War era, offering visitors a profound insight into the events that shaped the birth of the United States. The exhibits are meticulously organized, featuring a rich array of artifacts, documents, and immersive displays that bring history to life. For anyone with an interest in America's founding, this museum provides a compelling and educational experience, making it a must-visit destination in the heart of Philadelphia."
"Amazing experience. Located right in the historic district just two blocks from Independence Hall, this museum is a must see. As a mom, I appreciated the completely interactive experience. So many items had "please touch" signs or interactive components. There was a scavenger hunt with an item in most rooms, giving us something to focus on with my 7-year old without being overwhelmed. As a history teacher with a history buff husband, I appreciated the amount of history covered. The museum basically starts at the French and Indian War and walks you chronologically through the Revolution with each area having a clearly defined focus. Enslaved, Black, Native, and women's voices on both sides are taken into account throughout. Great experience and a great compliment to the free experiences at Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell."
"This is a great place to learn about the American Revolution. Exhibits on what led up to the American Revolution as will as the war itself. The highlight is Washington's war tent. I definitely would recommend this museum."
"This museum is beautiful, new, and very well done. While there are not a ton of exhibits, we were very impressed with what we saw here today. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area."
