"Went to the wharf on a Friday evening and saw a couple of local bands at the waterfront. It was awesome! Food trucks, local winery had a booth, and even local cigar shop had a tent. Everyone was well behaved."
"This past weekend (5-6Aug2023) was a singular experience with the addition of Mama Duck (the world's largest rubber duck) to the population of Leonardtown. The Wharf itself was not entirely visible because of this 60' behemoth. Outside of Wharf-fest, the park is a quaint, well maintained, multi-purpose space with sufficient parking for mid-day stops and within walking distance of the "center" of Leonardtown. I've visited to sit on a bench and watch the bay as well as used it as a launching spot for kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. There have been food trucks down there periodically and like I said, it's a short walk up the hill to some nice local restaurants."
"Wharf Fest and World's Largest Duck were incredible!! Shout out to Joe of Frog Town Ice Cream who saw the need for rides up the hill, and jumped in with free transport in his own work cart! #frogtownicecream #leonardtownicecreamfrogtown"
"My husband and I came to see the gigantic yellow duck. I booked the kayak rental online and the on-site service is great. It's the Leonardtown festival so there are stalls for lemonade, ice cream, T-shirts and lots of people. There are two parking lots for this event and some temporary restrooms. It would be so much better if there's a shower to wash off the sand."
