"It’s a great facility overall. Staff members are terrific; so friendly and helpful and professional. Huge number of programs and activities for all ages. Physical plant is showing its age and there seem to be challenges to maintaining it. Locker rooms and showers are especially in need of repair and upgrade. Still, probably the best overall gym and fitness center in the area at an affordable cost."

"It’s a GREAT place, very clean, in a convenient location & hours of operation are great. I gave it 4 stars because although a great place to workout, the staff can either be really pleasant or completely ignore you depending on which staff member it is. It isn’t really a consistent “pleasantry”. For example, around the time I go, there’s a gentleman that scans the barcode I will say “hey Goodmorning! How are you” and he always looks at me as if I just insulted him but will have a full blown conversation with the person after me, literally call them by name. On the other hand, when I go into the gym area, the fitness trainers & managers go absolutely above and beyond to make sure I understand how certain equipment works when I ask & will even give me words of encouragement. Just giving my personal experience, like previously stated, there are some people who have never experienced it at all because they are greeted on a first name basis. Honestly, that doesn’t put a huge damper on my experience at the Y, it’s a great place & I plan to continue going for years to come."

"The Ambler YMCA is great! They have a lot of different classes, the gym and fitness equipment is abundant that even on busy times you usually can still get a machine. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the class instructors have a good understanding of what they are teaching as well. Giving three stars because I never give 5, there is always room for improvement. Took one star off for the locker situation. They have lockers that have locks on them as well as lockers for you to bring your own. 9/10 times, the lockers with the locks are broken but not posted they are broken. I have put my belongings in them and then have ti find a staff member with a key to unlock the lock."

"Ok, so you read about my journey. I visit 2 YMCA. One in Willow Grove and one in Ambler. I like the ride to Ambler no traffic. When you walk in the door everything is so convenient. I couldn't take too many pictures because of the people on the equipment."

"I really enjoy my time at the Y. I mostly go there for classes and other times I work out independently. The indoor track is a good place to get a walk/run in. One of my favorite rooms is the small studio. I love that it has windows where I can view nature as I practice Yoga & body balance. It helps to enhance the experience. I also enjoy swim with my family and our kids really love sliding down the frog. There's a playground right outside that my kids enjoy too. Special events are always fun to attend as well. If there's one thing I'd change it's the Overall it's a nice place and the culture is good as staff/ members are friendly."
