"It was a nice place and very clean. The staff was very nice. The only complaint I had was trying to check in and out. There was no one at the desk for an extended period of time. The town is very small. If you need food there is a McDonalds across the street. I would recommend staying here."

"I feel we have no choice but to give the inn a one star rating. Our main problem, was not being informed that the Tap Room was closed. We booked our room for 2 nights a month in advance, and it was already closed. Even when we checked in, no one told us. I had to ask what time it opened to get the answer. We booked this hotel and paid a fee for the historic aspect of the building. We never even stepped foot in the historic part. I emailed the hotel twice and never got a response. The area has very limited dinning choices and we booked this hotel for the Tap room. We never would have stayed 2 nights knowing this. Now, we wonder if that is why no one told us. This is no way to run a business. The room was clean and comfortable. A bit more space to put things would be nice."

"I have edited this review because the owner was gracious enough to credit us with the cost of one night lodging. I do understand the owners have had a difficult time with no longer having a management company run the hotel and restaurant for them. The owners renovated the rooms with nicely painted walls and wood floors. Since there is no place to put any clothing, I recommended they put in a chest of drawers as there is more than adequate room for this. The breakfast will be improved once they can have their restaurant up & running; the restaurant will then be able to provide breakfast."

"I gave the Hermitage Inn a 3 star.The staff was very friendly and very willing to fix their mistakes. The water pressure in the shower was amazing, and I loved being able to control the temperature of my room. I also loved the deiced fridge and the ironing equipment. However, walking in my room made my feet black. Even wearing my shoes made me slide on the floors like I was wearing ice skates. There was no dresser, no hangers, and no hand soap. And it seemed like the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was something used by every guest that stayed there. Further description of the coffee machine would have been nice too. I need to know I'm getting stuck with a kureg machine. And the fact that the hotel got rid of a night on my plan after we added another night, 2 nights -3 nights, was an all time low after driving 5 1/2 hours to get there. Was not worth th $500 we spent for 3 nights. Would not recommend."
