"Bads - 1. There was no hot water in any tap in whole houzz. Asked the owner he replied on our check out time stating that the valve for hot water was closed and sent men tt start it 2. Bugs 3. At one point there was no water coming from any taps. 4. When we entered the windows were open and the whole houzzz was too cold. 5. No central heat. The heaters were not enough to make it warm quickly. 6. Communication with owner is loose. He hardly replied when we were facing issues. But he was ready to ask when are we checking out instead of answering our questions. 7. Inside the pool one of the suction hole is without cover which can injure anyone with strong suction power I was about to break my finger with that high power suction. After reporting to those fixer men they closed that suction hole. This is important to anyone going in the pool and by mistake goes near to that suction hole. Goods- 1. Heated pool 2. Hot tub"
"Renter beware!! We are writing this review, so that others are not put in the same position we were put in. We stayed with our cousins and small children. The house is not small child safe as there are electrical outlets without covers on them (read previous reviews he says he fixed them -that is a lie). The bathroom in the main bedroom has live electrical wires coming out of the wall uncapped (which we capped to keep our children safe). There is only 1 egress out of the one bedroom if their was a fire. Bunk beds in the area of the stairwell. We arrived to no heat in the main part of the house and they left a space heater to heat the kitchen and living room. The caretaker was supposed to come over and he never showed up. There was molding with nails sticking up laying in the pool area. The hot tub didn’t work properly (no jets and lights) and when we told him he said “I ordered the part and it should be here soon”. He did not notify us in advance that it was not properly working. The kids found glass bottles, garbage and even old food throughout the house. There are to many other issues to list, but we wanted to list our main safety concerns. He agreed to refund us 1 nights stay and the cleaning fee. When it came down to the last minute he changed the amount and refunded us only the cleaning fee and $100 more. He was also telling us that he would give us money back if we agreed to not leave a review. The House is not a luxury house as advertised it is basically an unfinished house with bedrooms and an indoor pool."
"We really enjoyed immensely, house is cozy and clean, the fire place, pool and outdoor hot tub made our vacation complete. we were there in middle of a snow storm, the snow was cleaned right away. we surely recommend."
"If you are doing a home renovation, I suggest you avoid ordering items from Houzz. They only allow 30 days for returns and after that you can’t return even for an exchange or partial refund. This is very impractical for home renovation timelines, especially during the pandemic. Our home reno is taking longer than expected, which is common, and we ordered items early because we were warned about supply chain issues. By the time we could see our products together and realized the item we ordered won’t work, it was past 30 days. I would only order from Houzz if I was replacing or adding something to my home. Never for a reno!"
"Don't rent this house. I would give this house a 0 if it were possible. When we got there the pool had gunk at the bottom of it that looked like it had been there for years there was also NO chlorine at all in the pool. One of the fridges is broken, the microwave wouldn't stop beeping, the oven was not working and the jacuzzi wouldn't heat up.. aka broken. The rooms, sheets and bathrooms were musty. We had go to Walmart to buy sheets and towels. We made the best of it in the kitchen and living area since they were the most updated places in the house. But man, this house isn't worth the trouble. The owners should be ashamed at having guests over in that mess."
