"Jon Coimbra, the tattoo artist and owner of Golden Order Tattoo was a NO CALL NO SHOW for an all day appointment we had on January 4th at 1pm. The appointment was made and confirmed via email at the end of November. We drove 2.5 hours from Rhode Island to show up 10 minutes early to the shop, only for him to not even be there. This was our first time at Golden Order, but both of us have been getting tattoos for over a decade each. We waited about 25 minutes. His coworker looked surprised to see us, saying that Jon wasn’t there, and that he should have been there by now if he had an appointment that day, so he could set up. My boyfriend double checked his confirmation email, and indeed the date and time were correct, deposit paid. Jon’s coworker said this is the second incident within a month’s time that he has pulled a no call-no show on a client. Jon’s coworker tried texting him and face timing him. No answer. My boyfriend sent him an email saying that we were at the shop. No answer. We waited around until about 1:20, left my bf’s phone number in case Jon was running severely late, and hung out around town to get lunch and wander around, waiting to see if he would call us or email us. Well we hung out in town until about 2:30, silence on Jon’s end. So we left. I understand that life happens, and things come up. But it takes two seconds to reach out and send an email or text or call to cancel the day of. But instead we wasted our time, our money, our day. If you want to take a chance, go ahead, but make sure you aren’t coming from too far away. Still no reply from Jon. Wouldn’t recommend the shop to anyone."
