"Perfect results. So much better than I'd ever hoped or dreamed. I was reluctant to undergo cataract surgery. Throughout my life, my vision has been exceptionally compromised (blind as a bat without a serious prescription), and I worried that I might lose it altogether. I'd initially gone to another facility for an evaluation and was extremely disappointed with the rushed treatment and limited options I was offered. I was thrilled to later find and book with Dr. Juli Larson. Dr. Larson is extraordinarily capable, experienced, accomplished, knowledgeable, caring, friendly, reassuring, patient - everything you'd want in a physician. I was given a thorough hours-long examination (and pre-procedure eyedrops, instructions) more than a month in advance, during which every aspect of the operation was well explained to me by Dr. Larson and her lovely staff, including the risks. I chose the very pricey multi-focal PanOptix lenses (not covered by insurance) and can honestly say that that decision - and having them expertly inserted into my eyes by Dr. Larson - was one of the best I've ever made. Days after my September 2023 procedure until now (four months later), my vision is 20/20. I will never again have to wear contact lenses and, to this point, I have absolutely no need of reading or distance glasses. Every aspect of my journey at New England Vision & Vermont Eye was conducted with professionalism and kindness. Highly recommended for cataract surgery!"

"Happy with my vision improvement after Lasik here, EXTREMELY disappointed with the amount of floaters in my vision on a daily basis now years after surgery. I suggest you do a lot of research on the possible negative side effects of this surgery. It's not always bells & whistles afterwards and there ARE risks and possible negative changes that can happen to your vision. They had some issues getting suction during my surgery and had to keep on re applying suction which was quite scary. Because of this it broke apart genetic material in my vitreous fluid and now I have extremely excessive floaters (like a ton and big floaters too!) when looking at the sky, white surfaces and computer screens. Vision is the most important sense to me and this has caused regret and sadness for not doing my research before hand. I will say the staff and doctors were always friendly and receptive. Communicated well. But like all elective surgeries it's almost like there was a sales pitch involved. Making the risk seem minimal. Clearly it would be a difficult business and surgery to "sell" if all the risks were communicated. Follow up that's included in the package was also disappointing. As a working long hours & long weeks guy I cancelled an appointment due to work and never heard a peep from them again about follow up care during that year or two you pay for. I know my eyes and scheduling appointments is my responsibility but I would prefer when you have paid for follow up care up front for there to be some kind of reminders or notification from the scheduling staff to let you know you are over due or in need of follow ups. Life gets busy. Do your due diligence before surgery. I'm sure all Lasik doctors and centers are similar. But DO know there may be aspects of your vision you are happy with, like being able to finally see. But there also may be unwanted side effects you'll have to live the rest of your life with and may cause emotional distress."

"Dr Larson successfully performed LASIK on my eyes. Prior to being here, I was VERY nearsighted, and had worn glasses since I was 6 years old. She and her team were patient, helpful, professional, and and gave me all of the information I needed in a timely manner. Service was always quick for my post operative visits, too. I can’t express how much it means to me to have my vision corrected. The profound feeling when you realize that you don’t need to depend on glasses anymore is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and I owe a lot of that to this team. "I had the extreme pleasure of receiving LASIK surgery by Dr. Larson and all the wonderful staff @ Vermont Eye Laser last week! My vision was really bad, with astigmatism to boot. I had been in glasses since the 3rd grade & do not recall a single day of waking up to see clearly (without glasses) until now at age 33. I absolutely had the best experience with this office! Every person I interacted with was professional & informative. And although I was nervous, the staff allowed me to feel confident. The procedure was quick and painless. Honestly, still can’t believe just how quick & efficient it was! I only wish I had made the decision sooner!
