"So, this is a crazy situation. I still have no idea how long this acquisition was taking place, but Petro Home Services up and sold off their NH Oil business to Townsend Energy. Here's the kicker! Not only did Petro sell their business off to them, but they didn't notify their customers! Even **better** is the fact that Petro terminated everyone's contracts with no notice, and deleted their NH Services section of their site as if it never existed for years. Why is this partly Townsend's fault? You knew you'd be OWNING Petro's customer base, yet failed to even help in a transition? My contract was terminated the day of delivery and I had to call their customer service for them to call another oil company, for YOU to call me and tell me your team bought Petro out (but didn't honor any of their work or contracts). That's a joke, a scam, and your services are laughable. Good luck to anyone who finds out in a few weeks when Petro never shows up to their door and they have to scramble to find a new oil distributor because two companies have millions to throw around with acquisitions but not even 2 cents to talk to customers about it."

"Our furnace went out late last night, so we called all our regular HVAC guys this morning but no one was available to come out immediately. It was already down to 54°, so we needed someone asap. We called our oil company and they were able to reach out to Petro and have them send out a tech immediately. The tech Walter Haley tech #242 was great! He was friendly and efficient. Had the furnace up and working within the hour. We would definitely call them again for emergency services."

"I made an online payment, when the website brought me back to the homepage it said the payment hadn’t gone through so I made another one. Almost right away it took both payments out of my account, I called and the customer service rep was very nice. He told me I should receive a refund in 10 business days back on to my debit card, cool. So I call 10 days later, since I hadn’t received anything. Again, customer service rep very nice. She told me 3-5 more days and I’ll receive a refund in my debit card. Well, I called this morning because I still hadn’t received anything. The rep was nice and told me a paper check had been issued and that I wouldn’t receive anything until the end of this month. Had no other answer for me except that, I was getting a paper check and it would be 2 more weeks before I would get it. He couldn’t tell me where the check was coming from, and since I live 1/4 mile down the road from Petro I could have gone to pick up the check but no. Very unpleasant experience. I will be looking for a new company."

"Historically, Petro was not on my list of companies I wanted to do business with. I was baited with a new customer incentive and fell for it, turned out their service as part of the package, and problem resolution fell way short of expectation. However- when desperate times call for desperate measures you bite the bullet. I found my tank had a slow leak. I called Petro and although I had cancelled my account, they were able to open up a service only account and come out to service the leak in just a few hours time. I called at 830 am and had a tech on site by 10:15 and Walter (tech 242) even called to inform me he was on his way. Upon showing up he had a mask on and followed SD protocol. He was able to fix the problem in the short term and clean up the affected area. He also explained the process around removing and replacing the tank. Upon completion he explained how he left things, asked me if I had any questions and left the area clean of debris when he left. Moral of the story- if Walter was the guy I got the first time, I highly doubt I would have such a negative association to Petro. So, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Walter. Jury is still out for Petro as a whole-but they did do right by me this morning."
