"Excellent first choice. A locally, family owned Inn at the south end of Barre. Spacious, comfortable rooms. An older Inn but extremely well maintained. Not all the fancy amenities the other corporate owned motels spend millions advertising but over $100 per night less. Just as roomy, clean and staffed. The front desk clerk was polite, friendly and went out of her way to accommodate me, after hours, when my flight was delayed twice."

"Lisa was really friendly and helpful and we were able to book a last minute room. Everything was very clean, although the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The bed was comfy, bathroom well stocked and check-in/check-out was very easy. I would stay here again, but next time would ask for a room that did not smell like smoke. The door said "non-smoking" and I know there's only so much that can be done to enforce the rules. Maybe next time if possible just hit the room with a good deodorizer!"

"We stayed there in October. Thank goodness the owners had a room left for my family & I. It was two beds, 1 king & 1 queen. 2 adjourning rooms.. So my family of 5 was comfortable. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished with TV, microwave and refrigerator. Closest space. And Lisa the owner gave us an extra pillow when we called her. We had more room there compared to most hotels I have stayed in over the years. I will definitely go back to Hollow Inn whenever we come back to Vermont. Great price and comfort away from home. "My one night stay here was lovely. I don’t have a single negative thing to say. The hotel is very quaint; the facility is very clean; the entire staff I encountered throughout the grounds were all very friendly. The pool/hot tub/bbq area in the back is much nicer than I was expecting. A real added bonus! The rooms (I had a single king) was very big and spotless. I would definitely return here again. The free continental breakfast in the morning was also very nice. Good coffee!"
