"It's not the worst thing out there, if you're looking for a cheap place to simply stay comfortably this is the right place. Don't come here expecting top of the line rooms and services. The WiFi is free but it doesn't really work that great but other than that the rooms are super clean, the bathrooms are nice and it doesn't reek of cigarettes like most hotels do lol. Overall, 4 stars in my opinion."

"Amazing clean rooms and excellent service! Anyone sitting at the front desk is more then happy to do the most they can to accommodate your stay at Golden Gate! We stop by Plattsburgh a few times every year and always stay here!"

"The hotel is by Lake Champlain, and the view is pretty. The room is equipped with a king bed, a full sized refrigerator & kitchen. The price is reasonable. The room is a bit musty smell. The night we stayed was very noisy with seagulls squawking and geese honking nonstop."

"I have to honestly say that when I saw the price of less than $100 when all rooms within 2 hours of Burlington VT were $500 plus I was skeptical and scared! But driving an hour to sleep after a show instead of driving 4 is much safer. I was wrong the hotel is clean! Smells clean looks clean and actually is clean! The room is set up perfect with a table and stove and fridge the bathrooms are spotless with newer toilet sink and tub. Guy at the front desk awesome! We haven’t even slept yet just got here but wanted to make sure I remembered to leave a review! And let’s talk about the amazing view of lake Champlain ♥️ We will be returning! Thanks a bunch!"

"The BEST motel! The sheets were SO SOFT, the pillows were just perfect. The rooms were CLEAN (I don’t understand these reviews saying it was filthy, no way). We loved it so much we stayed 2 extra nights! This was our 10th wedding anniversary trip and we were only going to stay here in transit but the beach was so lovely, and the rooms so comfortable, it ended up being the nicest of 6 motels we stayed in all over New England. We kept comparing them all, saying: “It’s no Golden Gate.” We returned for one night at the end of our trip too, to soak in the serenity of Plattsburgh before heading home to our kids. Way to go Raj. We’ll be back."
