"The Kahm Center is an amazing resource for our community, and their intensive treatment programs—which couldn’t be found in Vermont before—give real help and hope to all of the people living here who suffer from an eating disorder. It isn’t an exaggeration to say that I owe my life to the amazing clinicians and dietitians at Kahm—their evidence-based dietary guidance, insightful individual and group therapy sessions, and gentle kindness helped to teach me the skills I needed to finally start to overcome my lifelong struggles with food, exercise, and body image. They are not like most other treatment centers, who focus solely on a quick weight restoration before cutting you loose without actually being recovered. Their use of body composition and metabolic testing also made a real difference for me in my recovery—it helped me see the physical damage the eating disorder was actually doing to my body and how my treatment was helping to fix it. "Absolutely amazing recovery experience! The clinicians are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, compassionate and take recovery very seriously. The dietitians have blown every myth about diets, dieting and “healthy” foods vs “unhealthy” foods right out of the water! I am now seeing things through different lenses.
