"The best top notch medical care I have ever received. If you are in the area and need fertility care, go no further! These guys are the best!"
"We will always be grateful to NRM for helping us bring our second child into the world after a challenging and emotional few years of secondary infertility due to endometriosis. Our IVF nurse Jess is amazing and was always so responsive and understanding of my concerns and many questions. Additionally, Emily in billing has always gone above and beyond to help me navigate the financial side of things. We found the IVF side of things to be much more responsive and streamlined than the IUI process. The facility is fresh and new feeling. Additionally, the phlebotomists are phenomenal and always were able to stick my somewhat tricky veins on the first try, which was so appreciated when coming in for blood draws every few days! I joke with my husband that I'd love to just go to NRM for all my blood draws now that I'm pregnant if it were possible!"
"Revised post: The nurses and MDs we worked with were incredible. Emily in billing has been the advocate everyone should have when it comes to billing. I cannot praise working with her enough. The facilities are nice and the communication is pretty great. The provider we were assigned to was OK. Both me and my husband were unimpressed. We scheduled a meeting with her when a miscarriage was seemingly inevitable (consistently slow rising HCG) which accomplished nothing. After we switched clinics, we realized that a really important component of our treatment was completely overlooked. Unfortunately, that has really delayed future treatment. I'm not sure if it was the methods of our provider or the clinic that led to this. When I first posted, I was still in the middle of a seemingly never-ending battle with Ovation billing. In my original review, I mentioned the struggle it's been to get a hold of anyone at Ovation, their lack of communication when hiccups arise, and their inability to submit claims to insurance. It sounds like the changes being made will alleviate for others the stressors that we experienced. The new billing supervisor I worked with at Ovation took ownership of mistakes, for which I am appreciative. I am hopeful for future patients."
"I'm deeply disappointed with the customer service provided by this clinic. We made the appointment fine, but were required to pre-pay due to insurance issues. That was fine as we use an HSA. We were informed we'd receive an invite to the call on the day of the interview via text message. The time came around and we had received no such message so we called them. The receptionist informed us the doctor was running late but that we would receive the message soon. An hour went by and we decided to cancel the consultation. I was somewhat irritated at this point, but during the call they said they had sent several messages to us over the last few weeks. We had not received any messages outside of those requesting payment. I'm irritated about all this because, while tech issues happen, they just dropped every conceivable ball in addressing this in a reasonable manner. We were informed that we wouldn't receive communication via any method other than the Patient Portal, which wasn't true. We called them with concerns about our appointment starting and discussed not receiving messages relating to it, and yet they decided to use that system when the doctor did show up for our consultation, and continue to do so when we didn't show up. I don't know anything relating to the quality of care provided by the medical staff, but I don't think we will be finding out. The fertility issues we're dealing with are already fairly anxiety inducing and having to then also navigate poor customer service is just not something that I'm willing to stomach."
"I am a doctor, an epidemiologist who does research in women's health, a 2nd time IVF mom, and military service member. I have been going through IVF since 2019 and worked with multiple different clinics including two military hospitals (Walter Reed and Norfolk) a facility in Italy along with my local military clinic, and interviewed at Shady Grove Fertility in Washington DC. Choosing NRMVT for my 2nd IVF experience was by far the best choice I made. What people need to understand about fertility is every individual is unique, every process is individualized, every insurance is a pain, and it is an extremely emotional process with 50-50 outcomes at best. My first IVF experience through the military took almost two years and they kept reassuring me that "this is normal, people are on waiting lists for a year and the lab work up takes a year." I was in tears monthly (no thanks to hormones). Having worked with all those different places, this was the most calming, easy going experience I could have had. The online messaging always worked great, the labs were quick, loved the online calendar feature, they responded to my calls quickly, and they are using the most up to date science out there. They got me in quickly in between my two international moves. Granted I had an embryo transfer, using two previously frozen embryos from my first IVF, so my experience was easier than others. Overall I was extremely happy with my experience and had a positive outcome (half way through the pregnancy now). The most important aspects of IVF for me are "using the best science," "predictability" and "explaining the unpredictable", "explanation of the process," and "communication." They delivered in all these areas perfectly."
