At The Hop Lake George, NY 12845

"I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I ordered a quesadilla, the menu says it comes with fries but our waitress told me it did not. The menu clearly says it does! Our waitress also would not allow my 12 year old niece to order off the kids menu. When she ordered the waitress told her there was no way she could be 12. She is mature for her age. Very unpleasant! She brought our food out, the food was average at best and we didn't see her again until the bill came. The bill already included a 20% tip and a credit card fee. She certainly didn't earn a 20% tip but since they add it in automatically why should she worry about how she treats customers. Bad for business, unreasonable and unethical. This should actually be against the law NYS!"

"The food was decent, prices were high but normal for a tourist trap. I ordered a quesadilla which was on the sandwich menu. Menu said fries were included but mine wasn't served with any. I told the waiter who argued that quesadillas aren't sandwiches. I said that since they were under the sandwich menu and they are. In any case, I was given fries in the end but was given an argument which wasn't pleasant. The menu clearly stated they were included and for the price, I wasn't going to accept otherwise. The bill came and a 20% tip was added which annoyed us but we paid without saying anything. They tried to get us to add another tip on the credit card which was very sketchy and a total turn off. A less attentive person could have tipped on top of that, not noticing it was already included and add another 15-20%. Unreasonable and unethical. I would not recommend this place just due to the fact that they are not honest."

"Food was average nothing special. We had a waiter who took our order brought the food and that was about all we saw of him until he brought the bill over which already included gratuity and a credit card fee (for which we paid cash for). My recommendation is try somewhere else where the staff is more friendly and food tastes better."

"Was a fun quick stop for some food. Kids wanted pizza, so we got a large pie. It was great, wife got a huge salad and I got a stromboli which was great. They did have some adult beverages as well, not horribly priced. Everything came out fast. Service was great."
