"My husband and I stopped in on a whim - just looking to browse as we were visiting from out of town from NY. We were instantly greeted and welcomed to look around - no pressure. We found the staff to be knowledge, incredibly helpful & friendly. Guinness was absolutely amazing. He listened to my needs and brought out 3 different sets of boots to try. What a difference a professional fitting makes! Plus, the complementary drink was a nice little perk. I had my linings heat molded and boots perfectly adjusted. We will definitely be back again on our next visit to Vermont!"

I believe them, and I appreciate the opportunity to help improve services for future customers via this review process. ------ I just spent a half hour in the store with my husband and small child, trying to find an item I would like in exchange for something a person had gifted me. They had kindly provided a gift receipt. I approached the counter with my two items I'd chosen and the gift receipt with the associated item. They applied the return to the person who gave it to me. When I called their attention to the gift receipt, they said it was for a return so they returned it. No, I said. That isn't what a gift receipt is for. I did not come in to return the money to persons card and then buy two things. The person then brought another person over to look at it. "Oh, a gift receipt is really to just hide the price." No. No receipt hides the price. They just looked at me, and said they couldn't fix it. That maybe the accountant could if they were here, but it was a return and not a sale, and they can't cancel a return. There was no, "I'm sorry, we messed up; how do we make this right?" They messed up. My gifter will now know I returned their gift when they tried hard to be out of the loop if we didn't like what they bought us. Alpine shop essentially just took my Christmas present back, and said "We did this, and now you have to deal. We don't care." This place has changed so much..."

"I DO NOT WRITE REVIEWS, Ok so not that you know I don’t write reviews. I’ve decided to take the time to write a review immediately after leaving the Alpine shop in Burlington. I have worked in the ski industry since I was 19 years old and continue to do so in a different capacity now. Furthermore I have decided to pick up golf and dive head first, I was fortunate enough to have Lucas as a sales person and tech to assist me in a measurement and sizing for clubs I purchased two years ago. I cannot tell you enough that if my experience in getting assistance with my golfing equipment is the same as their ski and snowboard gear then you’ll be taken care of. My finance and I had stoped in that shop several months ago I said verbatim “I will be back there for golfing gear”. All the employees there are personable and friendly which shows that their management fosters a happy work environment which means the world to me. Thanks again guys and gals!"

Ian fitted both of us with new boots (touring for me, alpine for my husband) applying amazing knowledge of all the ins and outs of fitting tricky feet. Had a great bedside manner too.
