Reviews
"Without a doubt the worst haircut I’ve ever had. People were nice enough, but the whole place reeks of cigarettes and everything is visibly dirty — the clippers clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time if at all. Most other reviews had me hopeful, but I left feeling quite disappointed."
"Always pleasant & a great haircut reasonably priced."
"Robin, Lori, and staff are all incredible people. Been a loyal and happy customer for years. The previous review is suspect. Why would you continue to visit if your service was going down each time? Clearly has an axe to grind. Nuff said! If you want a safe, friendly, atmosphere and incredible banter and a free water to boot or soda then go to this barber/salon! The best in Vermont! :)"
"I’ve been here four times for cuts. The first was semi-decent. All downhill from there sadly. Each time I ask specifically to not get an undercut, but every time they do it. I’ve tried explaining it differently and still, they do it. I come out looking like I got a buzz cut even if they scissor it. I’ve tried pointing to pictures and saying, just cut my hair like this picture on your wall. Nope. It just feels like the barbers don’t want to put in the time to provide you with a good cut. Yes, it’s $17, but it takes just 10-12 minutes to rush me through the chair. There’s always some sections sticking out farther than they should, hairs near my sideburns that go uncut entirely, and hairs at my brow line that are cut so short nothing can be done with them. Add on top of this walking in and it wreaking of cigarettes because the workers were just out front smoking, the scissors and combs all laying they with other people’s hair still in it and the fact that they just don’t seem to pay attention to you unless they know you well. I’m done trying with this place. I’m glad so many people have a great experience, I just wish I was one of them."
"My husband and I have been seeing Lori for our haircuts and trims for many years! We were thrilled when Lori decided to open her own shop when Garry’s closed; same services, hair products and, of course, maple syrup! Her place is cozy, warm, friendly and truly community- minded. Most importantly, Lori LISTENS to what we want and has always come through with the best cuts (and ‘hair advice’ advice, when we ask for it). We highly recommend!"
