"Why on December 22nd 2022 at 8:30pm was the beekmantown ny dollar general closed for an hour for the employees lunch??? With the doors locked why so that employee only has a half hour left to there day.... Something needs to be done about this by corporate office asap"

"On at least six occasions, the price shown doesn't match the price when you cash out. It's usually 20,30 cents more. Today, a six pack of bounty paper towels rang out a dollar more than the ticketed price. Also, never enough employees. Always understaffed. Stop being greedy, hire some people and pay them a livable wage."

"I would like to know how a manager can shut down a corporate store at 6 pm instead of the normal closing time of 10pm.. almost daily within the last few weeks and why a district manager hasn't stepped in to make sure the store is operating it's normal hours ..not only is this store losing 4 hours of sales when closed but the employees that are there to work are cut 4 hours of an 8 hour shift they are hired to do ..how is this allowed.this store in Beekmantown has really gone down hill with the management ..something has to change..many people have been in there to work don't last very long ..this shows that the management is not doing their job and they need to be replaced with someone who is willing to the work of an actual manager and not someone who doesn't want to work ..Good employees are pushed out by bad management which seems to be the case at this store over the last several months!!!"

"I have to give it a 3-star rating just because of the price. Everything is so inexpensive. We just got a dollar store down the road from my house about a year ago. Before that we always had to go to the convenience store, next door, which was way overpriced compared to Dollar General. I don't like that the store is always in disarray but I assume they keep their prices low because they only have couple employees working at one time . therefore, not the manpower to keep the store in shape. I try not to buy bread or rolls they are because they are kind of stale, but in a pinch they will do."

"Since the change over with store managers items are harder to get to with carts in the way and isles are crowded with overflow. Makes for a difficult time getting items needed. Staffing although friendly is grossly lacking to keep the store properly maintained and straightened. Overall prices are great but much needed improvement in staffing and accessibility to merchandise would be appreciated."
