"I had a remarkable time at Hubble Shire Farm over the Christmas holiday! The proprietor was amazing at her attention to detail, generosity and impeccable in her execution on all aspects of my stay there. The home was magazine profile worthy and this business is clearly a passion for the owner Amanda. You wonβt regret having any of your meals there and if you enjoy spirits (especially champagne & wine) she is amazingly knowledgeable and has great selections on hand. While the town of Chelsea has seen better days (you can check out all of it in an hour or so), it is just 30 minutes to an hourβs drive from every kind of attraction that Vermont has to offer and your hostess will give you great recommendations of where to go and what to see (even the most scenic routes to your destination). So make this your home base and you will be ideally distanced from everywhere you could want to visit in Vermont."
"What a Fantastic experience! Staying at Hubble Shire Farm was the highlight of our recent New England Road Trip through MA, ME and VT. Amanda attended to every detail in the most gracious and elegant way as our host. Don't miss the Dinner option. It was a delicious way to be transported back in time with amazing service, table settings and gourmet meal options with candlelight. Ask for the great wine selections and pricing. Breakfast was another added treat with a tasty omelette. The historic farm property and rooms were beautiful and nicely furnished with her antiques collection. Amanda was working hard to restore the back of the farm property after the recent floods. Wouldn't know now that there was any damage at all from the creek running through her 26 acre property. Hope to go back for another stay when we get return to Vermont (from Colorado). Thank you for a great memory Amanda!!"
"This is a rare find in the sleepy town of Chelsea, Vermont. Out here, it is not commercialized like Manchester, but the Hubble Shire Farm is a charming red bricked 4 bedroom abode nestled in the heart of town. Walking into the house felt like walking into a Jane Austen novel and I half expected Mr. Darcy to show up for dinner. Except, we are taken great care by a meticulous hostess and her trusty Australian shepherd sidekick. Through conversation ranging from contemporary societal issues to family over drinks, it would seem we are joined by Jane Austen herself? Do not let the small town charm deceive you, weary traveler, for this hostess is far more sophisticated than meets the eye."
"We traveled to Chelsea, Vermont for a one night get away. The Hubble Shire Farm was just amazing. Beautiful grounds, although slowly recovering from the floods, incredible historic building and just fantastic food. Most importantly our host Amanda was so wonderful, an incredible chef, fun, entertaining and the perfect host. Thank you for a great night!"
"We had a wonderful stay at Hubble Shire Farm. The house and gardens are beautiful. We loved having cocktails on the bridge over the river that runs through the property. Our rooms were very comfortable and sophisticated. We loved how we were able to walk to the town green and enjoy the Saturday farmer's market. Amanda is a wonderful and very accommodating host. She made us a delicious vegan dinner and we were deeply impressed by her remarkably wine list and had two excellent bottles of champagne, which were deeply appreciated after a long day of bike riding."
