"I bought mittens for my grandchildren, they have lasted at least a couple years. My daughter is headed to buy them new ones as they've outgrown them....definitely warm and well worth the money!"
"I love shops like this one! The owner is super knowledgeable and gives great advice! Support local!!"
"I love stopping in here. The woman who owns the store is always kind and helpful, and the selection of clothing is well curated. I needed a nicer summer outfit for a boy, which can be hard to find, and she had exactly what we needed - right down to the cute fedora."
"Cute clothes in children's sizes from newborn to 12, but don't count on the size you need being in stock! For example, if you see something through the window that is absolutely adorable, don't get too attached -- I'd say they only seem to have a maximum of 7 or 8 items available in any one item & pattern (i.e. If there was one particular little girls skirt that I was interested in, there were probably only 4 or 5 of them, so there might have been a size 5, a size 9, a size 10, etc.). There's just not multiple items of any one size, so if someone already bought the size 4T of "that" shirt, there won't be another size 4T for you to purchase. It's kind of weird, actually. And maybe this was just MY experience, perhaps I visited on a day when stock was low, but judging by the size of the racks, I do not believe that's the case. I'm 90% sure they simply do not carry a lot of inventory. So that's one issue. The other issue that I had, and, again, this is MY experience and MY opinion, was the price. I can understand spending more money on really good quality, but this seemed excessive. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. If Country Kids Clothing was located a few miles down the road in Hanover, NH, these prices would still be ridiculous TO ME, but I would shrug it off as being typical Hanover pricing. To put it in perspective for anyone reading this, a little boys t-shirt that I fell in love with, a size 4T, was $27. I do not & would not ever spend nearly $30 on a T-SHIRT for me, my spouse, my parents, and definitely not for a 4 year old boy! But that wasn't terribly shocking. A little girl's mini-skirt? $50! A girls size 7 dress? $60! These are not items made of organic cotton, linen or cashmere, these are items of clothing very similar to what you'd find at any children's clothing store or even a department store like Target. I wouldn't have gone to this shop on my own, I was with a friend who was looking for an outfit for her god-daughter's 6th birthday. She tried the sale & clearance rack, but nothing in a size 6 was available. She ended up buying an adorable fuchsia tank top & flower print skort for a total of $53. Yikes. There wasn't enough material in those two items to make a SLEEVE of a shirt for me (and I'm 4 feet, 10 inches tall, and I weigh 128lbs. -- it wouldn't take much material to make a shirt sleeve for me) & to spend more than $50 on a summer outfit that this child MIGHT wear a handful of times???? That's insane, in my opinion. The nice thing about being an adult (or "full-grown") is that you can spend $50 on quality clothing and know that you can wear it so many times that it only costs $2 per wear! But children? Lucky if they wear an item twice before they grow out of it or ruin it. So, I gave Country Kids Clothing three stars because I would never actually shop there due to pricing, and even if I did lose my mind & decide to make a purchase, I'd be fortunate to find an item I truly liked in the size I truly needed. But I will say, the clothing was cute. I just cannot justify spending that kind of money on small children's clothing."
"Great place for quality children's clothing, toys, winter gear and shoes. All the items you think about but nobody else carries around the upper valley. Zutano's also in stock"
