Beyond the Sea

"We have made dinner at Beyond the Sea a part of our annual summer trip to Lake George, as we are never disappointed. We return, not just because the menu is fantastic or because our meals are always mouth watering delicious or because the wine pairings are always right. All are true but it’s also because of the fine folks that work there. David and Mary hands down are just fantastic; they are always so welcoming and friendly to everyone who steps foot into their restaurant. Enter a stranger and leave as friend. If you are dining alone, sit at the bar. Which is what I did this fall on a solo trip. Melissa greeted me as if she just saw me yesterday even though it’s been a few months, and Jason did not disappoint with his recommendations. Just tell him what you’re thinking and he will point you in the right direction. And though they were super busy, they checked on everyone and worked solidly as a team, taking care of each table. The other staff members were equally friendly and attentive to their guest. Impressive to see just sitting back and watching it all. Ray, their new chef, created some wonderful new fall flavors for their menu…the gnocchi with scallops was divine…so was everything I had. If you’re in the area, do not miss out on having dinner here."

"I just deleted my 5 Star review from one year ago to leave an updated 5 Star review. Which really makes 10 Stars. Greeted very warmly by the hostess, and seated in the main dining room. Our server, Matt, plies us with deliciously concocted libations. The food is, seriously, other worldly. Just delicious. The dessert, chocolate cake in our case, is scrumptious. The meal, although very expensive, is worth every cent. Might be my best meal ever (except, of course, for my wife’s…). I am aware this review may sound like I am related to the owner, but I assure you I am just a retired guy from Brooklyn. My compliments. And appreciation!"

"Great overall experience. We were up in the area on a random winter weekend so got to experience Beyond the sea during the off season. It was not busy which was great for us as they gave us the five star treatment. When we arrived they sat us immediately and had great drink specials. I highly recommend the espresso martini. The appetizers and main course were both delicious along with great overall service. It is a bit expensive but well worth it in my opinion. Look forward to going back in the future."

"5 stars all around!! What a great night at “Beyond the Sea”! We came with a group of 19 to celebrate my birthday and the staff was so amazing from our waiter, the owner (Dave) and his wife, and their family. We didn’t want to leave! They made us feel right at home, like family! Atmosphere was perfect and the food, oh my goodness, amazing!!!! The appetizers, drinks, dinner and dessert was superb!!! They went above and beyond, even going out to get the kids ice cream and bringing back for them! Highly recommend!!!"

"Phenomenal!! Have been coming to LG/BL for a couple decades and have been going to Beyond the Sea every year since they opened. The food is the best in town, and I have been to all of the restaurants, old and new. The service is stellar, attentive, not overbearing, GREAT experience. The menu is always creative and inviting, usually have trouble deciding what to have because I know it is going to be great no matter what I pick. This year, it was just as good, if not better, and had to leave a review here. Especially after being unexpectedly disappointed by two other go to spots in town. Ambience, ✔️ Food, ✔️ Service, ✔️ Overall experience, ✔️ ✔️ !!! The owner and chef came out to talk to everyone, every table, the wait staff is friendly, love love love this place!"
