"Doctor angrily told me that she would not receive payment from my insurance if she removed the Inplanon birth control implant in my arm. The nurse then patronized me by asking me sweetly, "what if your boyfriend comes back?" I replied, "he was an abuser and we have broken up and I will not see him again." (Which was true.) The implant was causing major physical problems, such as fainting and extreme leg cramping (which I later found out-from another doctor- was indication of small strokes and blood clotting... and how on earth was I still standing up?) The angry doctor finally relented and removed it when I told her "then if you won't remove it, give me a fatal injection of something, because that is how badly I feel." It had been since late December that I had it in and was told by NVRH ER -several times!- that they could not remove it- that only the doctor who put it in could remove it- and she was on vacation for the holidays. When she finally returned, it was early March(!) I was DEATHLY ILL from the implant all of the holiday season! Also, times and dates for appointments were consistently erratic, messed up and never correct- and then receptionists get annoyed that you showed up for the "wrong date" when they were the ones who set the appointment up!! Please save your health and sanity and STAY AWAY from Women's Wellness (and NVRH in general!)"
