"Stowe's rec path: a scenic paradise for dogs and their humans! Stunning swimming spots for a refreshing break. Just be cautious – some cyclists are silent speedsters, so keep an eye out and enjoy the adventure!"
"One of the best bike paths we’ve done"
"Wanted to spend the day checking out the nature side of downtown and stretch my legs, so I've been planning on walking the Rec Patch through Stowe. I would've enjoying going the whole trail but out group had old people and children and wasn't really an option. We walked about 1 1/2 miles to Stowe cider and then back again after stopping in for some ciders. The bridges over the water were nice and the path has a lot of shaded area to escape the sun, and lots of benches along the way to sit and watch everything around you. I love that I had a few opportunities to leave some hidden treasures behind in hopes of gaining new PoGo friends that have my QR code on them (5096 7011 2022) The walk was nice and mostly flat. I got a good picture of the church on the way back. So lovely."
"This 5 miles one way bike and walking path is a gem to this town! Beautiful, peaceful, flat, crossing the town, bridges and creeks, fields, cornfields, & flowers, and passing the back patios of a couple restaurant breweries! We spent a half day biking along and stopping in at various places and back to the town."
"This is a nice LONG walk (maybe a bit too long.. I stopped after the half-way mark coming from the southeast parking lot) or a good bike ride or run. (The second half may be a lot quieter being more away from the businesses.) Starts off pretty tranquil with a quiet area and it's nice, but then it starts to weave through businesses, gets close to homes, and later gets closer to road traffic. Not something you should visit Stowe exclusively for, but if you have the time and want to get away from some of the hustle and bustle, it's worth visiting."
