Reviews
"Great park for hiking. Dog-friendly (must be on leash), with a beach specifically designated for dog swimming. There is an entrance fee to use this park during the heavy season (sometime in May to sometime in September-ish), but free to use outside those months. These photos are from a mid-January hike."
"Visited in May and there are lots of mosquitos. Park is dog friendly but must be on leash all the times. Fee is $5 for adult and $2 or $3 for children. Hope this review is helpful for dogs’ owners"
"This was a really fun park and maybe my favorite of all the Vermont parks. The water was nice for swimming. The trails were fun. And best of all, it was ok for me to bike on the trail down towards the lake! I will definitely be returning next year when the water warms up:)"
"It's nice for hiking. Wasn't too impressed with the beach or pet beach, have yet to jump from the cliffs, I may love it if I ever get the pleasure. There were a decent amount of people all over the place. Lots of roots and loose rocks in some areas but I REALLY enjoyed my hikes."
"Beautiful park with lots of diverse terrain. Trails vary from flat and clear to steeper and rocky. Nothing too intense, nice hills and gullies. Beautiful cliffs to swim from and access to the beach (no dogs on beaches, but welcome on trails on leash). The views of the lake are not spectacular, but you can get some nice glimpses. Good for a short 30 minute walk or spending half a day exploring. Great place. Small admission charge at the gate as it's a State Park - $4, I think. Ample parking."
