"*** Hidden Gem Alert *** My recent stay at the Jamaica Haus was one full of surprises. First off, a living area that was open and cozy. I was able to watch a full scale of sports entertainment after my 19 hour travel to get to Vermont that was followed up by a much needed sleep. The rest I was able to achieve felt like I had be rejuvenated and replenished. The linens Jamaica Haus uses are from a company called Comphy, the softest sheets I've ever slept in, tried them one other time and had the same experience elsewhere. Secondly, the atmosphere of the Inn had a wide range of pleasantries. The host Benzi, brings an authentic Austrian touch with an eclectic touch for those looking to try something a bit nuanced and personal. Benzi is quite personable and has a ton of stories about her family history which also happens to go many years back to the origins of the nearby Stratton Mountain itself! Her family has a rich history in and around the ski area and nearby towns. If you're looking for a centrally located quiet place just outside of Stratton at a great price, seek out the Jamaica Haus! The support staff bust their behinds and do so before, during and after your stay. There is a Keurig that is always at the ready with coffee mugs you can actually buy! There is a cooking area with all the utensils that you could need, stove and all. There was a microwave and mini fridge in my room, desk, and several chairs that all fit the theme. A quaint stop in a small town that has an established history and in great proximity to skiing and other outdoor activities."

"Jamaica Haus is a beautiful Inn and a vibrant center of Jamaica, VT. This little hamlet is a quick drive from Stratton, VT and a perfect stop for skiers, hikers, cyclist or just those looking for a change of scenery. Benzi has created a wonderful respite and the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in the warmth and charm. Established in 1814 the inn is full of history but the comfort of modern needs - plenty of plugs for charging and beautiful options in lighting. The rooms were not only cozy and tastefully decorated but also immaculately clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The attention to detail in the furnishings and amenities reflected a genuine commitment to guest comfort and also reflects the heritage of the owner. Such a wonderful history! The staff deserves special mention for their exceptional hospitality. Their friendliness and attentiveness added a personal touch to my stay, making it truly memorable. Whether it was offering local recommendations, ensuring my comfort, or simply engaging in pleasant conversation, the staff went above and beyond to make my experience delightful. The Corsica room in particular was wonderful. Mini fridge, tea kettle, and microwave made a cozy nook. So much charm! I wholeheartedly recommend the Jamaica Haus to anyone seeking a delightful retreat in Jamaica, VT, especially those looking for convenient access to the wonders of Stratton, VT. The combination of charming accommodations, proximity to outdoor activities, and top-notch hospitality make this inn a true gem. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!"
