"This is the bridge from the Chevy Chase movie Funny Farm that Tri Boro Movers tried to cross. It appears to have suffered some recent damage. Guess there are still truckers out there who are trying to find the town of Redbud!"
"Great covered bridge! Nice little trail down to the river below. Me kids enjoyed exploring."
"Downers Covered Bridge is one of the best constructed covered bridges that I have visited. It looks like it has undergone a fairly recent remodel because the abutments and supports look recent. Take time to examine the quality of the construction. The supporting beams are thick, wide and held together by well made wood pegs. The floor of the bridge is very tight and the windows frame beautiful views of the river. It is only a few yards off Rt. 131 and is easily accessed. Take a few minutes to stop and see an example of a beautifully made covered bridge."
"Took a trip back in history with this stop. There's a small spot for a car or two to stop right near the bridge. Conveniently, there's a raised platform on both sides inside the bridge so you can stay out of the road while taking in the wonderful views from the windows. Architecture was really neat and it's so scenic during the fall."
"If you're a Funny Farm fan, ye shall seek out this "Tri-Boro Movers" icon! It's in far greater condition than just "termites holding hands"! It's a beautiful Vermont covered bridge."
