"We had a work party at The Woods and the entire experience was amazing! The food was incredible, from appetizers to main dishes. Lisa and the staff accommodated our every need and did so much to make the party a success. The settling is so beautiful and warm. What an awesome place for an event!!"

"Woods Lodge is a relaxing retreat in the beautiful Vermont forest. Hosts extremely friendly and gracious, went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of . Very comfortable bed, plenty of room, stayed in the Birch Cabin. Huge dining facility on premises with fully stocked bar."

"My wife and I chose the woods lodge for our elopement-style wedding and had a wonderful experience there. We stayed in the Hemlock cabin and felt like we had the entire secluded property to ourselves. The owners were very accommodating, cooking us two wonderful dinners and customizing the experience to our tastes. We did not invite any guests (it was an elopement, after all), but Lisa was kind enough to take plenty of photos of our special day. The lodge is also dog-friendly, so we brought our little dog man to share the night with us. We could have just gone down to a local courthouse to elope, but are glad we chose the Woods Lodge for the occasion so we would have something special to remember the date by."

"I'm staying at The Woods Lodge while attending the Residency Conference at Norwich University, and it's very nice. The owners are friendly, the price is reasonable, and the accommodations are lovely. My family and I have a suite in the main lodge that includes multiple bedrooms, and a full kitchen and living area. It's clean and comfortable, and the scenery is incredible!"

"This place is one of my favorite locations during my week long trip to Vermont. The owners are very hands off which allows for privacy. It feels like you're in a secluded cabin by yourself. They provide everything you need other than food or clothes. We really liked their green approach and that they provide a recycling bin. They also allow you to venture throughout their property giving you amazing photo opportunities of the environment around you. There's a beautiful creek down the path that you must see if you stay here. We loved the fact that our dog was welcomed here! It's hard to find a place that allows large dogs and this took a lot of stress off of us to avoid boarding or other issues. They have beautiful chickens and super friendly cats roaming about the property. So definitely keep your dogs leashed! In my opinion the cabins need some updating to take care of the musky smell and some better critter proofing (mice!). But the huge amount of positives about this location outweighed these two issues."
