Reviews of White Birch Cottage
"A wonderful country cottage up in the mountains! You're well situated, on a quiet mountainside up a long dirt road, surrounded by nature and an easy drive to all the stores and attractions of the Mad River Valley. We loved our stay here!"
"My husband, my friend and I stayed in the Highview portion of the property which were two private rooms in the main house. Our stay couldn't have been more amazing! Karen is the epitome of an amazing host. She is attentive, welcoming, and really wants to make sure that you have a good time! The rooms were clean and well-appointed and the beds soft. Also being up off the beaten path means that it's quiet and dark which is great to get a good night's sleep. We stayed on the bottom floor with use of our own bathroom which was also very clean and filled with amenities. We had full access of the main floor where the kitchen is. Karen had breakfast items for us every morning and a selection of K-Cup pods for our use. The property also features large picture windows and decks where you can get beautiful views of the mountainside and breathe in some brisk, morning air while you enjoy your coffee. Karen also set up fire pit in the evening and we bonded with the other guests while roasting some hot dogs and listened to the coyotes in the distance. The location is tucked into the woods and you feel like a real Vermonter but you are so close to everything in Burlington and Waterbury that it makes it the perfect location to experience all the Green Mountain state has to offer. We definitely plan to go back! Thank you Karen!"
"Wonderful and attentive hosts. The cottage is located just under 2 miles up a hill off a main road that can take you wherever you need to go (skiing, restaurants, grocery store, etc.). It was extremely cozy, clean and well stocked with everything a group may need from kitchen equipment, board games, local activity/restaurant guides, blankets, and more. The back porch offers a beautiful view! The hosts went the extra mile to gift us with a homemade pie, maple syrup and yummy VT cheese. We really appreciated them checking in on our group during very cold temperatures to make sure we were comfortable. Very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent place to stay whether you'd like to relax in a cozy cottage, or enjoy VT skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities. Our group of 6 really enjoyed the stay."
"The area is stunning, the home is awesome and the hosts are wonderful! 3 queen beds, 2 twin beds, front-back porch with views upon views and a fully stocked kitchen. Close enough to all points of interest, quiet enough to be in your own private Vermont. The owners care about the property and it shows. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. We can't wait to go back!"
"We stayed at White Birch Cottage for a women's hiking weekend. We were hiking Vermont's 4,000 footers and it was a perfect, central location. The cottage had all the amenities anyone would need for a comfortable stay. The grounds are beautiful and the place was sparkling clean. We had use of a washer and dryer, which was great after being on muddy trails. The weekend was great and Karen was a perfect hostess. I would unreservedly recommend you rent White Birch Cottage."
