"I love these old Mills that helped shape America. They're gone now, these textile industries and worsted factories. Economic forces, material demands, labor costs and foreign competition have left brick ghosts of factories in all of New England. In their hey-day they were powerhouses, drawing immigrant populations from around the world into the economic melting pot of America, coloring our past and present. This small, free museum gives only a glimpse of what was the first start to finish worsted mill on the Winooski River. Well worth a visit !"
