Friendly's 710 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH 03054

"There aren't many Friendly's left so we went again while we could. This was very disappointing, the acquisitions and attempts to change the menu have diminished everything. The food portions are more expensive and smaller. There are fewer choices on the menu. There were only 2 waitresses at lunchtime on a Saturday and they were getting overworked trying to keep up and deal with problems in the back of the store. There were 4 of us, our waitress presented us with 2 spoons, 2 forks, and 3 knives for utensils for us to split. She was embarrassed, "I'm sorry about the odd medley, it's all we have for clean utensils." Was the dishwasher broken and nobody thought to buy more plastic or metal utensils? She forgot 2 drinks then forgot a water. She did apologize. We listened as a family had been claiming things about her to a manager that probably weren't true, apparently to get out of paying. We were seated next to a family with loud children though there were open areas. We relocated ourselves when one of the kids that were standing on their table leaned forward and screamed into my mom's hearing aid. The food was served cold. The Fribbles are smaller than I remember and actually not even cold. Our waitress never had a chance to see if things were okay. It was all flavorless and limp and not at all worth the price."

"Our server didn't write anything down, so one person in our group didn't get lettuce and tomatoe on her burger and a request for onion rings never went into the kitchen until all other food had been served. Pretty poor showing considering the dining room was essentially empty except for us. The food was very good, properly prepared, hot when served."

"This was perfect for our family to meet. There was 8 of us and we didn't have a problem getting a table. The price was great too. We were all shocked at the bill. We have some great milkshakes to go too."

"I used to love this place as a kid, the food was incredible and my parents loved it too. Tried it again today, and they’ve changed. The chicken was nice, but the fries didn’t really taste like much of anything, and the adult mac and cheese didn’t have much cheese in terms of both the amount of sauce on the pasta or taste. The shake was alright, though I wish they’d add some smaller sizes to the menu. Overall, this place was okay, but I dunno if I’d go back anytime soon."

"Food is consistent and average but the service is consistent. One or two servers on for the entire restaurant. Yesterday I asked for another minute for my 4 year old to pick his ice cream flavor. She gave us 17 instead. She only had 2 tables at the time but still was nowhere to be found for either of us and that's not an isolated incident. Every time we go it's the same but we keep going back because the one thats impressed is the 4 year old."
