The Eggshell Restaurant
About the Business
The Eggshell Restaurant is a beloved institution in New Hampshire, with four great locations offering home-style country cooking at its finest. Our seasonal breakfast and lunch spot on the Weirs Beach Channel is a must-visit for those looking for real comfort food and fresh specials all day long.
For over 35 years, our family has been dedicated to providing a classic New Hampshire dining experience with homestyle cooking using fresh ingredients at fair prices. Our journey began in 1987 when we opened The Eggshell Restaurant in Loudon, NH, where a unique friend - a deer - made quite the entrance by crashing through our front glass door. This incident led to a framed hole in the wall, which we took as a sign of good fortune.
Throughout the years, we expanded to other locations, including The Eggshell 2 in Concord, NH, and Country Cook'n at the Circle in Epsom, NH. Our Gilford location, Country Cook'n at the Lakeside, features a beautiful mural of Lake Winnipesaukee, while The Weirs Diner in Laconia is situated right on the Weirs Beach Canal with boating access at our newly remodeled dock. Come visit us and experience the warmth and deliciousness of The Eggshell Restaurant!

"Cute place, kinda rustic, the women's bathroom was... ugh. i had a veggie omelette, which was a bit undercooked for my liking but had a nice amount of veggies. the toast was thick, seemed homemade and delicious. Hashbrowns were crispy and lovely. My daughter had blueberry pancakes which she said were yummy. the coffee was good. Our waitress was a gem, so friendly and attentive. The price was good, about $20 for both of us. Overall a nice little spot, cute, cozy and inexpensive. However if you like your omelette not runny, perhaps ask for it cooked a bit longer."
"Following a 10,000-step trip through nearby Canterbury Shaker Village, our group of 17 senior citizens went to The Eggshell Restaurant, ready for a hardy lunch. I had talked with Cindy about a month beforehand to let her know that we'd be bringing a large group on our desired date. Despite being incredibly busy, Cindy and the rest of The Eggshell Restaurant staff were most gracious, kind, and efficient in making sure everyone was well cared for - qualities that seem to be fading in today's world. Thank you to the entire Eggshell staff for creating a wonderful dining experience."
"This is one of my favorite places, I've come here since I was a child. They make their own homemade bread and it's amazing. Everything is delicious, at least everything I've tried, and they always fill your plate. The decor is adorable and entertaining. The atmosphere is relaxing, like you've been absorbed by a small town. I definitely recommend coming at least once"
"I get takeout for the family here at least once a week. Whether it is and omelette, their home fries, plate size pancakes, turkey club with fries, or their grilled blueberry coffee cake, it is all delicious. The staff is very friendly, service is quick, and prices are reasonable."
