Camp Kettleford

Camp Kettleford, located at 26 Camp Allen Road in Bedford, New Hampshire, is a versatile institution offering campground, lodging, and park facilities for Girl Scouts of all ages. Whether you want to join a troop, go solo, or volunteer, Camp Kettleford provides opportunities for girls to get involved and learn essential life skills.

With a focus on Girl Scout activities, Camp Kettleford offers one-week programs for girls who have completed Kindergarten through grade 8, and two-week programs for campers who have completed 5th grade and up. Families can join in on the fun at camp on Wednesday nights and participate in troop and family camping weekends.

Established in 1953, Camp Kettleford offers a range of activities such as paddling, canoeing, swimming, campfire cooking, and more. Specialty programs enhance campers' experiences, allowing them to explore their creativity and practice target sport skills.

Camp Kettleford's staff are recruited globally and include college students, parents, and teachers who enjoy working with children. Staff have the opportunity to build their resumes, have fun in the sun, and receive training, salary, and discounted camp registration for their daughters.

Unit Leaders and Assistants are responsible for camper supervision, program delivery, and helping girls plan and carry out their activities. Camp Program Aides and Counselors in Training (CIT) gain valuable leadership experience and skills through specialized programs. Financial aid is available for girls living within the council jurisdiction, and additional aid can be applied for through the NH Department of Education's Rekindling Curiosity Grant program.

Nestled within 30 forested acres on the banks of Sandy and Sebbins Ponds, Camp Kettleford offers a picturesque setting for girls to explore nature, participate in sports, and enjoy various activities during their stay. With a focus on building skills, making new friends, and having fun, Camp Kettleford provides a memorable summer experience for Girl Scouts of all ages.
