"After recent flooding at this campground and when there is a hurricane headed this way, we had to postpone or cancel and they charged us in full. Wow really wow. We would have loved to move to another date, but nope. Full charge when weather is possibly dangerous We will not ever camp here."
"There were good things and bad things about this campground. My initial impression was a very good one. I visited this weekend (labor day) with a group of people. I was arriving late and called to see if I could check in over the phone and the person on the phone was very helpful. When I got there, I picked up my passes with ease and the people in the office were friendly and cheerful. The grounds are clean and nicely put together so I had no complaints there. UNFORTUNATELY, the positive stopped there. While I like the activities they put on for people to have a little extra fun, this weekend was a cute parade of golf carts decorated which the kids enjoyed, and then they decided to parade again latet that night...11:10 to be exact which was accompanied with yelling and cheering which was not cute (especially with kids and babies trying to sleep). We experienced a VERY strong wafting of weed that was almost over bearing coming from a nearby site. Saturday night, I took my kids to the nearby bathroom (around 10) before they went to bed and one of the employees was just coming out of the boys room after cleaning it about to take are of the girls room and told us the rest rooms were closed. When I asked if the girls could run in real quick before he cleaned the room, I was told that they couldn't because he had to get started on it and we could go to the other rest room (which isn't nearby). I have honestly never had someone not let kids go pee quickly before entering a bathroom about to be cleaned. Then to top it off, our last night was relaxing and enjoyable as my group was calmly sitting around a fire chatting when an employee came down on a golf cart, almost hit my dog (who my young son accendently let out of the tent) and when people in my group shouted to get her attention incase she hadn't noticed him..because it was dark and he is both dark and small..she proceeded to give us an attitude which was followed by her coming over to our fire and trying to claim we had too many cars on the site (we didn't) and threatened to get us kicked out in addition to upsetting one of the young kids. While there were some comments from our group that didn't help the situation, she is supposed to be a professional representing the business and should have been trying to handling the situation in a calm and professional way. During this interaction, she was asked for her name a proceeded to give us a fake name "Ava". All in all, I have no desire to go back there. ...addition... in the ladies bathroom nearest our site, the soap dispenser was full but wouldn't despense, the only hand dryer in there didn't work and there were no paper towels as back up, and only one stall locked."
"My family reserved 8 sites in a dead end for our annual camping trip. We were happy to overlook the golf cart parage at 11:10pm whose noise woke my kids, and also the smell of marijuana wafting from neighboring sites. However, after the "staff member" Ava decided to stop by our site and pull a power trip because we yelled out when one of our dogs got loose and she almost hit it with her golf cart, we'll never spend a penny there again. Perhaps someone should remind Ava that threatening to kick out a family quietly minding their business because we called her out on her attitude is a pretty terrible bit of customer service. Her "personality" wasn't appreciated by any of us. Never again..."
"Campsites are decent sized, roads are narrow and windy (which can make parking a camper challenging). Good pool, small lake swimming and boat launch area. Nice walking/biking trails along the lake and a decent dog park. Motor boats ARE permitted on the lake. Very hilly Campground. The store is well stocked and the staff are VERY friendly and helpful."
"As a travel nurse we stayed there for a month. It was a wonderful site and peaceful campground. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The Christmas in July parade was great! Would definitely return if get assigned here again."
