"Love this place! The rooms, restaurant, owners, staff and location are all fabulous. We have been there several times and have always felt welcomed by everyone we have encountered. Rooms are clean and there’s a nice variety of food on the menu. Their breakfast is not to be missed. It’s always different and always delicious."

"The Squam Lake Inn is a rambling old building near the center of the attractive village of Holderness. The Inn's name is a bit of misnomer -- the Inn is not "on" The lake nor did it appear to offer a view of the Lake that we could see ( the nearest arm of the lake is about a 5-minute walk away). Perhaps the view changes when the leaves fall from the trees in winter or if one has a second floor room. Our room, one of the apparent "budget" spaces. was small but had a very comfortable bed, a surprisingly large bathroom, and typical amenities. Breakfast was excellent, but it was the dinner that really made the visit outstanding for us. One of the best meals we had had within recent memory. Service for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The front desk was rarely attended during our stay -- probably due to staff shortages -- a phone number was posted for contacting staff. The wrap-around veranda had a variety of inviting rocking chairs but the outside temperature was a bit too cool to use them."

"Was a prefect place to enjoy a New England autumn. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing both days the staff was very kind and filled with valuable information about Squam lake and the sites to see. We hope to come back in. June"

"Wonderful B&B with all the amenities! Cozy and thoughtfully decorated, the inn gives you a warm greeting from the moment you step in the door. The rooms are very clean and pristinely kept. The breakfast was fantastic, and was enjoyed in a comfortable dining room. The staff was very friendly and helpful to any needs you had. While not directly on the water, Squam lake is only a very short walk down the street. I would highly recommend staying here!"
