"This is a nice park to sit in the colorful Adirondack chairs. Sitting there, you can watch the fish jump and ducks and other birds on the water. It is a nice quiet place to rest. They have a couple of port-a-potties on site. It is located within walking distance to all of the great restaurants that Hallowell has to offer. There are many other businesses also close by."
"This has been our favorite spot while vacationing in the area. The water view needs no explanation, the seats are colorful + comfortable, plenty of parking and close to downtown. There is also a little trail near lined with gardening. The connecting peer below is wonderful, can easily dip your feet in the water and enjoy the summer weather. Get some ice cream and check this park out!"
"Right under the bridge. Nice wide boat ramp and four docs to get your boat ready before docking so that other people do not have to wait in the middle of the river. There's also a nice little playground area for the kids. There is plenty of parking. It is very hidden and secluded. If you did not know about this place you would have a hard time finding the entrance. Highly recommended for a local, in town, playground area and boat launch."
"What a nice place to visit if you get to Maine! Perfect river spot for fishing, sitting in great lounge chairs, fresh air, beautiful flowers, and reading the information boards on the Town of Hallowell. Known for its culture and old architecture, Hallowell sits along the Kennebec River. The beautiful granite of Hallowell was used to build the new St. Augustine's church in 1917."
"Granite City Park is therapeutic! I love feeding the Ducks and relaxing in a safe, clean, family-friendly, pet-friendly BEAUTIFUL environment and it's open 24 hours a day. Go watch the Atlantic sturgeon jump 6 feet out of the water and bald eagles plucking fish out of the river! All day and all night parking is free which is great to explore and enjoy everything Hallowell has to offer! Bring your family, bring your pets, bring your favorite person and don't forget 2 bring your guitar!"
