Reviews of Shepard's Farm Preserve
"This was a fun walk with my kids with awesome sculptures along the path. We were looking to get some fresh air, and this was perfect! The trail in the wooded area was clearly marked with a few trail options to choose from."
"These great trails are a favorite (winter or summer). This place never disappoints and offers something for every skill level. Beginner? Come on! Expert? You too! I always appreciate the beautiful sights and fresh air. 10 out of 10!"
"I highly recommend this place! We go often for quiet walks in the woods. The terrain varies from easy to moderate and the main trails are very well kept. The main trails are also well marked and easy to follow. You see various wildlife, mushrooms, trees and even some artist's pieces at the beginning. They do have a port a potty at the parking area and maps available. If you havent been, definitely worth checking out."
"What a great place. Nice trails through the woods. Relaxing walk. One trail goes to the water. An old dock down there. Looks like private property. But you can see out on the lake. Lots of wood carvings at the beginning of the walk. Porta potty at the parking lot."
"I went from Shephard's Farm into Witt Swamp and followed the black and white arrows. About 4.5 to 5 miles. It was a little confusing in that the names on the signs didn't always line up with the names on the map. For example there are signs that say Half Witt Trail but nothing on the maps say that. The trails were clear and wide. The snow is packed down pretty hard which made a few spots a little bit slippery. I had stabilicers in my pack but it wasn't really bas enough to put them on. Lots of signs of wildlife! My dog kept very busy sniffing prints in the snow. Giganic, fun animal sculptures at Shepard's Farm."
