"In the heart of a beautiful forested region lay a popular campground. It was frequented by families, couples, and lone wanderers looking for a peaceful retreat in nature. The campsite had all the essentials: pristine spots for pitching tents, a clear freshwater lake, and trails that promised adventure. But behind this idyllic facade lay a deeply unsettling secret. The owner of the campground was a peculiar individual. To many, he seemed simply like someone who kept to himself, but to those who dared to stay longer, a more sinister side emerged. He had an obsession with rules and order. A misplaced tent peg or a campfire that was slightly bigger than the designated size would result in a stern warning or even eviction from the site. He seemed to derive a perverse pleasure from exerting control over his guests. He’d frequently change campsite rules with no notice and seemingly on a whim. Those who dared to question him were met with a cold, emotionless stare and a chilling warning not to challenge his authority. Campers soon noticed other oddities. Quiet conversations held in the seclusion of their tents would be mysteriously referenced by the owner the next day. Items would inexplicably go missing from campsites, only to turn up in strange locations. Rumors began circulating that the owner had placed hidden microphones around the campsite to eavesdrop on guests. Some even believed he sabotaged camping equipment just to watch the resulting chaos from a distance. The campsite's reputation began to suffer. People began to leave cautionary reviews online, warning others about the owner's erratic behavior. Eventually, a group of regular campers decided to confront him, demanding transparency and respect for privacy. The confrontation escalated quickly, revealing the depth of the owner's instability. But the campers were resolute, standing their ground and demanding a change. The incident became the talk of the community, and the owner's reputation was tarnished irreparably. Despite its once-beloved status, the campground started seeing fewer and fewer visitors. The owner's unchecked behavior had ruined what was once a sanctuary for many. His sociopathic tendencies became the stuff of local legend, a chilling reminder that sometimes the most beautiful places can hide the darkest secrets."
"World class beach. Boat landing not suitable for all. RVers will be happy"
"DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I'll NEVER go back. The people that work there are ignorant as well as the owners! The ladies at the front gate were ignorant as hell!! Extremely expensive, NASTY bathrooms, horrible TINY camp sites. We asked for one on the water for our kids when we booked months before our trip. We got there & was given the nastiest muddiest campsite of them all. They told us they didn't have any available by the water. Our friends showed up about an hour later WITHOUT a reservation & got one right on the beach. If I could rate lower than one star I would!!!"
"We enjoy camping here. Some beautiful sun rises & sets overlooking a gorgeous lake. It could use some picnic tables at the beach. And; the flushing toilets need some attention. Have been going to JoMary for years and will continue to do so"
"My family and I have stayed here several times this year. This area of Maine is beautiful any time of the year. The campground is clean and gorgeous with quite a few different style sites to accommodate tents, RV's large and small. Lot's of water front sites to choose from. It's such a magical spot in the middle of the Maine wilderness. Jason is great. Very friendly and accommodating."
