Selkies' Rest

"Medicine for the soul. What a location! Our family of 5 felt like we were in an idyllic dreamland. The view from the primary bedroom alone is worth getting yourself up to Selkies' Rest. We found Peaks Island a diverse and friendly community, a delight to explore for kids and adults, and a great little hub from which to venture out into Maine proper. Selkies' Rest is roomy, homey, and clean. The hot-tub will definitely warm your bones from a rainy day or ocean water chill. July 4 was festive and fun; nights are dark with abundantly starry skies. Do yourself a favor and rent this house!"

"We stayed at Laura's cottage at the end of the Pandemic and it was an amazing relief from the months and months of madness. Wow - such a cool location and home. And, only 15 mins from downtown Portland. Take the few-mile walk around the island - its worth every step. Enjoy your drinks & sunset on the roof patio. Thanks!"

"We had an amazing stay here. The adventure started with a fun ferry ride to the island and a short walk from the very to the house. There are beautiful water views from the house. The house was stocked with everything you could want for a short or long term stay. Drinking coffee in the morning while overlooking the ocean was the perfect way to start the day. The perfect end to the day was a soak in the hot tub while listening to the ocean. Will return!"
