"The woman who works here couldn’t possibly be any nicer. She deserves a raise! What a great place. Thank you so much."
"The woman behind the desk is possibly the least intelligent person I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with in my entire life. She is proof that the less someone has between their ears, the more confident they are in their assertions. I mailed a package for overnight from Canton to Aroostock county. This marvel of Darwinism insisted I leave it unsealed as it was her job to seal it. She never did. The package arrived FIVE DAYS later, unsealed and completely empty. As one can imagine, I was little more than annoyed having paid nearly 30 dollars to send an empty envelope at the pace it takes to send a letter with a stamp for under a dollar. In the hopes that the items I sent had never left the Canton Post office, I returned this morning. The empty-headed ninny behind the counter refused to check receipts, insisted, not that she didn't remember me, but that she was CERTAIN I had never stepped foot in that post office before and that she had NEVER overnighted a package in the history of her career with USPS. After five attempts to get her to check the receipts in her possession, I had to direct her, as I would my toddler, to the drawer where she had placed the postal service's copy of the receipt the day I had shipped the item. Despite this receipt bearing HER SIGNATURE, she continued to insist she had never handled the package AT ALL. When I informed her the package had arrived empty and was unsealed she asks "how do you know it was unsealed" I stated "Because I noticed it when I handed it to you and asked if you wanted me to seal it, you said you would do it, also because (the recipient) let me know it arrived empty and sent a picture of the seal sticker still on it." she stated, "Oh well, we wouldn't have anything to do with that, she should talk to her post office."... Yes. Because post offices receiving items regularly unseal overnight envelopes and reapply seal saver stickers before heading out on their usual postal routes. Apparently, This is a scenario equally likely to this series of possums in a postal uniform masquerading as a human being making a mistake. My spouse suggested it may be a mail theft scam and for any other employee, I wouldn't have considered it because what kind of mindless oaf steals a child's glasses and school planner? but for this employee, it's worth considering. It is a wonder that this woman is permitted to drink out of cups without supervision. How any person so confidently dense can hold down a job is a testament to the powers of a good union and the inefficacy of the United States Postal Service. If this post office were staffed entirely by squirrels with dementia, it would still be less frustrating experience than interacting with that postal employee ever again. I leave this review in the hopes that someone else see it before they make the unfortunate choice to interact with this office out of a perception of convenience. You could be standing inside the lobby of this location and it would still be in the interest of convenience for you to journey to Portland ON FOOT in the middle of a nor'easter than ever interact with the Canton Post Office Staff."
