"Waited months for an appointment and couldn’t find the place (hospital maze). Called and couldn’t get through to get directions. Finally got through and was now 10 minutes late for appointment and they wouldn’t see me or allow me to wait. The person I spoke to wasn’t the nicest either. So frustrating… Given the negative reviews on here seems like a blessing in disguise. I’ll go elsewhere."

"Dr Witta performed my colonoscopy and he was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable. The true stars are the nurses… Michaeleagh, Kaitlyn and Sarah went above and beyond to make this experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I slept like a baby and had a wonderful experience. A huge THANK YOU to the amazing nurses today."

"If I could give zero stars I would. Thank goodness I had a wonderful GI doctor here when I first got sick but he retired and this practice has been nothing but a disaster since. None of the providers listens to you as the patient and the nurses and doctors treat you like a number rather than a person. When you call with a health concern they try to throw you into their "pool" of providers and won't let you speak with your doctor. I have suffered from medical mismanagement of my care twice now here which has been very stressful and upsetting. I am in the process of finding a new GI office."

"RUN far far away from this place. The most unprofessional "medical" doctor and office I've ever worked with. I had booked an appointment many many months out - and they call the DAY of my appointment just a few short hours before to tell me that Dr. Kaczanowski reviewed my chart "and there's nothing he could do" so they were cancelling my appointment. Not only is that beyond bizarre because he's never even spoken to me - but it tells me that he has little to no medical training for basic GI needs. I have never been treated so poorly by a "medical" center in my life. To think while I was waiting over 5 months for this appointment, I could have been on a waitlist for an actual legit GI doctor at Dartmouth or Boston hospitals. To call you the day of and leave you out to dry is cold and beyond shady. In hindsight, I'm grateful I've dodged the bullet of going here. I really really hope you dodge that bullet too. Go ANYWHERE else but here. Unacceptable and unprofessional and completely uncaring. Something is so off about this place..."

"If I could give zero stars I would. When I first went for treatment the front desk lady had the worst attitude. Next came the nurse. She asked me to explain my symptoms and when I started talking she says “I need symptoms not stories”. So to proceed with my appointment, the second nurse goes over my issues with me. The doctor ask me a serious of questions and then tells me my diagnosis. Sends me for x-rays then “confirms” my diagnosis. A year later I am booked for an appointment in Boston with a doctor at MGH because my issues are still persistent. The doctor in Boston goes over my records and my x-rays and tells me the evidence he sees counters what I was told at southern medical. Which should be needless to say since I now have to spend time going to Boston suffering due to the amount of pain I am experiencing. I will be taking theses doctors to court. How can you lie to a patient just to get them out of the door? Southern medical is a joke of a medical facility. There’s a reason why they call it practice because they could never do the real thing. STAY FAR AWAY."
