Reviews
"Much like every other review on here, I received a collection notice from the Thomas Agency for services I was never billed for. This is unacceptable."
"Like most, I seemingly received a collections notice out of thin air, and like most would have been fine paying the original bill if I ever received one if the first place. Idk about the rest of the reviews but something definitely seems off. How do we know if these bills from Thomas agency are even legit? The notice they send has no details about the "service" nore a mention of any date the service was provided. Edit: Changing my 1 star to 3 stars. They contacted me regarding the charge and settled everything on the phone. Great communication with their reps."
"Like many other reviews they sent invoices separately and with so little related information from the service that I was wondering what I was being billed for. My doctor’s office and insurance were all settled and I could see and understand everything else. Keep in mind I had 3 or so separate invoices for small amounts and with limited information about each one. I called and couldn’t get through a few times. I then went to the online portal, punched in all of my details and paid a bill based on what I as listed. 6 months later I get a collections letter? I just got off the phone with a woman from Spectrum who confirmed that each invoice (for random unclear services that all occurred at one visit) have separate accounts. That’s right, each $2, $10, $6 bill sent separately is paid online w/DIFFERENT accounts! I’ve never seen such a system before! They must be loosing so much money paying a lawyer to retrieve the missed payments because all of us are getting on there in good faith, plugging in our information, seeing a bill and paying it with NO further money owed available on the account. You see a “thank you for your payment” and think you are done. At least the Thomas Agency is making a bunch of money and they are local (sarcasm heavy). If your system is costing you money and your customers stress maybe it’s worth changing your billing system. Everything is automated these days; why can’t your company put all bills attached to a customer in ONE account so they can pay you?"
"I called 4 times the first time the lady sent me to the wrong department. the second and third time they didnt pick up the phone after waiting for an hour I gave up. The final time the lady was very rude and unhelpful. Id rather deal with the debt collectors then this company."
"I needed an ultrasound in fall of 2020. I used my insurance’s cost saving tool which brought me to Martin’s Point. I went and was billed by Martin’s Point. Few months later I get an additional bill from Spectrum Partners. It didn’t look like they attempted to bill my insurance company and the condescending bill read that they provide the equipment to Martin’s Point. I figured I wouldn’t pay it and see if my insurance took care of it. I never got another bill so cool they must have. Fast forward to summer of 2023 and now I have a debt collector the Thomas Agency calling me looking for $$$. Basically, picture yourself staying in a hotel I own. You check in, I charge you $500 for a weekend, you enjoy your stay and checkout. 6 months later you receive a bill from my DirecTV vendor and who I lease all my satellite equipment from for an additional $25/night for their services rendered. Me being the sneaky innkeeper I am gave your information to my leasing company so they can bill you for their portion of the stay. Sounds illegal and screwed up, right? Well folks, this is how our healthcare system operates. Spectrum, I know your practice is somehow legal but it is completely unethical. You should not be billing patients. Bill the hospital who bill the patients. Pretty simple. Are your parents proud of you? How long do you actually think this charade is going to work before the federal government wakes up and realizes what you’re doing? I now will make sure I clearly ask about other vendors involved in my care. Thank you for taking advantage of a person who has had multiple inflammatory related conditions since they were 11, just one thing extra for me to deal with. Bravo!!! Oh and for ensuring this affected my credit score, I’m no religious person, but I hope all of you burn in hell."
