Reviews
"Very caring doctors and staff."
"I was seen promptly after referral, my records had been reviewed by the doctor prior to the consult, my concerns and thoughts were were heard, and a clear plan was made and explained."
"After a decade of seeing my physician who is with this practice, I've just had to move on and begin the difficult process of finding a new provider. The care and attention I've received from these folks and my physician has been routinely passive, often ambiguous. During COVID, there was never a check-in with me or, as far as I know, any other immunocompromised patients. I had to call and ask questions such as "Any information on when I may qualify for a vaccine", "Do I need a booster now?", "I'm traveling, should I get a fourth booster considering my medical issues", " I should note that I call them very, very rarely, not often at all. I'm never sure how often I should go in for check-ups because they don't tell you anything. The life-saving medication they prescribe for me often requires me or my pharmacy nagging them to approve the refill for days on end; a medication I've taken for years, not a controlled substance, and there seemingly no reason why it would take so much effort. Recently I received a notice that my physician here would be retiring. When I called to make arrangements to transfer to one of the other doctors, I was met with hemming and hawing and pauses and "let me check on that" and "we need to get back to you" etc. etc. etc... Like most things Maine Med, and most thing Maine period, the experience is miserable and met routinely with either confusion, incompetence, or both. At this point, other than my medication, I'm pretty much my own physician."
