"Was referred to Hematology met with Dr Debasmita Saha for a DVT. Dr Saha was fixated on my BMI throughout the entire visit- She made it clear her recommendations were based 100% on my BMI she disregarded family history recent vacations and new medications i am on. I asked for information on things i could do to prevent DVT in the future or ways to lessen the pain i currently have and the only response given is lose significant weight. I'm aware that weight is a factor is DVT and agree weightless will help as whole BUT it is unacceptable to simply blame everything on BMI and to ignore all other factors. FATSHAMING IS NOT ok anymore its 2021! DO better, be better Doctors!"
