"I started seeing Rui as part of my probation requirements in 2022, and since I never really found counseling helpful in the past, I wasn't thrilled about it at first. But after just a couple of appointments, I could tell that Rui really knew what he was doing, and really cared. He's extremely smart and very professional, and just a good person in general terms. You can tell that he does this job for more than just the money. I really enjoyed my weekly appointments with him, even though I had to drive from another city to see him. He's by far the most helpful and knowledgeable Mental Health & Substance Abuse counselor that I've met before, and he really helped me out a lot with everything that I was dealing with. I'm off probation now, and thankfully still clean and sober, and I attribute part of that accomplishment to my sessions with Rui. If you are serious about working on your personal problems or issues, whether it be because of drugs or just mental health, and want to actually change or deal with what's bothering you, Rui Lima is the person to see.
