"I love the school and the way they look out for you and give you knowledge about heavy equipment not everything is going to happen that you want or think but you have to learn how much you need to know about what to do as far as how to handle the machines and work the functions fluently it’s a good opportunity that you will be able to benefit from for a long time"
"Coming into this school I had zero knowledge as far as operating Heavy Equipment. Within three weeks of attending the school, I had a pretty good understanding and feel for the equipment and knowledge being taught at Level 1 as well as Level 2 in the final week. The instructors were always willing to help when needed, but had very high expectations from day 1. Anything they were teaching, they could perform 10 times better. It's a very good environment to be in and learn. Career Services was helpful with job leads and pointing students in the right direction to search & apply for jobs. Highly recommended school."
"the instructors are wonderful. short of that the school is a cash grab and a place for military veterans to finish off their VA benefits. No disrespect to the Veterans. Back to the school. They promise you they'll find you work and even go as far as to tell you what to say to potential employers one of which is stating their 6 weeks of training equals 1 year of experience. They never do find you work. I figured this out after graduating and finally had asked them to send me a list of the companies they supposedly work with that are willing to accept students with no experience after leaving the school. after some back and forth I got the list and started to work my way down it in the areas that I was interested in looking for work and found that their was not much on the list, but I tried anyway. after a few weeks of applying or sending emails inquiring about interest in employment and follow up calls I contacted the school again to inform them I had no luck in getting an interview let alone a call back and the answer I received was "well some of the companies may have stopped working with us and failed to inform us or maybe you're reaching out to ones who require more experience and are more strict on that level" which basically told me this whole operation was a crock. If you decide to get into this field apply for an apprenticeship for 4 or 5 years with a union. don't even bother looking to attend this school. I know a few people who I went there with and have talked to them and none of them ever got into operating Heavy Equipment as I know of. And while I was there I even had some veterans tell me they are just attending to use up the rest of their VA benefits and have no interest in going into this industry. Save your money Update: the owner comes in the reviews to try and do damage control and cries over a 1 star. save your breath and don't try to save your reputation. Accept that you operate a crock operation. Your career services gives all this bad advice and you know it."
"HCA is like no other school, from its thorough curriculum to its hands on training approach, no time is wasted in 6 weeks. What can you expect from school? Being certified with more knowledge than most guys who’ve been in the business for years and enough seat time to land you a good position is a start. The instructors are great and have YEARS of knowledge to lend, the owner goes above and beyond to accommodate every student, and career services help you get your dream job every step of the way. Thank you HCA. David- Class of Jan. 2023"
"I attended HCA in June of 2020. It was hands down one the best experiences I’ve ever had. The course is very well structured with the majority being seat/stick time. Bill and Jordan were two of the instructors and I couldn’t have asked for any better. The other aspect that sets HCA apart is their career services FOR LIFE. Whether you’ve never operated heavy equipment before, or grew up doing it, this school is absolutely worth attending. Thank you again to everyone at HCA"
