West Side Mount Abram

"This is a really great bike park. It isn't the biggest bike park in the region, but it is one of the most diverse. If you're looking to hit 15 foot tabletops, then Loon will probably be more your style. BUT, the varied terrain is unbeatable, and I would argue even more diverse than you would find at Loon or Highland, even though the park is smaller. There's flow tracks, speed tracks, double black diamond technical runs, and all mixes of obstacles. Experienced riders are mixed on the hills with families and amateur riders, and for the most part nobody seems to get in anyone's way. Also, beers are $3. So yeah, I'm a huge fan."

"Staff was friendly all around. Recommend calling ahead to reserve a bike rental, especially for larger frame sizes. I showed up unannounced and requested a full day rental. They were out of my size and gave me a smaller bike but didn't tell me that until I returned later after my Intro to Downhill lesson and mentioned the bike seemed too small for me. If I had known I could get a proper size bike on another day, I would have happily waited until the next weekend to ride. The riding was a lot of fun on well designed, well maintained, and well marked trails. They have a couple of very easy trails for beginners, a couple intermediate trails, and a couple advanced, more technical trails. The trails are on the short side, but not unexpected for a small mountain. One trail ("Whiplash") has a lot of jumps, which is great for learning and practicing jumping, but they're also all rideable if you don't want to jump. The drops or gaps on the advanced trails are marked and have ride-arounds. In hindsight, a half day would have been enough for me to ride all the trails and do some multiple times. A full day was really too much for this small mountain."

"The Mount Abram bike park is phenomenal ! I brought two families who were new to dh and the smooth flowy trails made it easy for all the kids to do it ! Plus it is super fun if you know what you're doing too ! Awesome place to ride and well worth the trip to Bethel for sure ! Smiles all around and great time had by all :)"

"Three trails so far and another one in the making. I would not recommend for young children. It takes about 17 minutes to reach the top on the lift. I managed to get 8 rides down in 3.5 hours. There is also an additional trail to ride up the mountain. The trails are classified as beginning(2) and intermediate (1)."
