"I called Thursday for a tow dolly, I was able to pick it up Monday morning and get the job done. There were a few hitches along the way, but Darren took care of it. Thank you."
"The people that tend the U-Haul portion of this business in Madison (with the notable exception of Fred, who was the only decent individual I dealt with throughout this entire transaction) were exceptionally dishonest as well as rude and disrespectful. I have had several experiences renting from U-Haul over the years and this was the worst experience I've ever had with them (with any business, actually). While I wasn't very impressed with the way the facility in Gardiner, ME or the Corporate Office handled the significant errors made by the Madison office during this rental transaction, the Madison office exhibited the most deplorable customer service I've ever experienced anywhere else. From this point forward, in the event I opt to ever utilize U-Haul again (as opposed to trying Penske), I will rent from (and strongly recommend) Sandy & Daughter Self Storage in Skowhegan. They have been attentive, helpful and honest in all my dealings with them in the past. I cannot stress enough the blatant dishonesty, disorganization, rudeness and dreadful service this facility provides with regard to their U-Haul operation. This was not just a singular occurrence, they were caught in multiple lies, during no less than three separate conversations, over the course of two days!,Considering that it's combined with automotive services, I would personally never trust them to do reliable work on a vehicle or be honest about a vehicle (though I admittedly have never used their automotive services in the past, and would be too skeptical to in the future... I'll continue to use, and highly recommend, Hupp's Auto and Small Engine just up the street). Thank you to Fred, though, from what I've seen you're the only person I've found here that offers this business any redeeming value, and I wish you well in all your business endeavors."
