About the Business
Welcome to Sandpipers Early Learning Center, a part of Child & Family, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children, families, and seniors in Rhode Island since 1866. Located at 31 John Clarke Road in Middletown, Rhode Island, Sandpipers offers high-quality early care and education for children ages six weeks to five years.
At Sandpipers, we believe in learning through play and provide a nurturing environment where children can explore, experiment, and develop essential skills. Our professional teaching staff is committed to promoting positive self-images and engaging learning experiences for each child. We offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that emphasizes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
In addition to our standard programs, Sandpipers also offers a Therapeutic component called KIDS CONNECT, designed to support children with medical, behavioral health, and social/emotional challenges. Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all children, regardless of their individual needs.
We understand the unique needs of Military Families and offer flexibility and support during transitions and deployments. We partner with organizations like Child Care Aware and Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood to ensure access to quality, affordable child care for all families.
Our Family Engagement Programs provide opportunities for families to be actively involved in their child's education and development. Monthly events, communication, and collaboration with our Family Advisory Board create a strong bond between caregivers, families, and the center.
Sandpipers is licensed by the State of Rhode Island and accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA). We are proud to have received a four-star rating from BrightStars, recognizing our commitment to excellence above and beyond state licensing standards.
Our dedicated teachers, with backgrounds in early childhood education and nursing, are committed to meeting the individual needs of each child. They participate in ongoing professional development to ensure they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to support children's growth and development.
We invite you to join the Sandpipers family and experience the difference our quality care and education can make in your child's early years. Visit us at 31 John Clarke Road to learn more about our programs and see firsthand the positive impact we can have on your child's development.
