"Came in with potentially glass in my eye. Covering my eye and sobbing. They tried to lie and say there was only one line and no triage. They tried to tell me I seem confused. Apparently she didn’t like my story about how I broke the glass that injured me so j had to go into great detail and offer to call my brother before shed stop being so rude (and she didn’t really). I have auto immune that severely affects my circulation. Nonetheless, I get my BP checked often. I always sit still. Never have i had a nurse stupid enough to blame me when im crying from the pain bc tbd bp monitor tightened so badly my hands turned dark purple. I also have glass in my hand so that’s great. I had to demand to be treated bc the PA took barely a glance at my hands and says “I don’t see any glass”. He forced my eye open with no warning and even tho I made the purpose of my visit clear he was reluctant to help and had a serious attitude. Moreover, why am I stepping in someone else’s blood? This isn’t gunshot triage. Telling me you spilled blood bc you were doing a draw doesn’t make me more comfortable or less terrified. Update: No one would help me and I had to go on vacation and ended up having glass coming out of four more fingers. I then went to see a doctor at South Shore, medical and Norwell who also refused to take me seriously and acted like I must just have psoriasis or something, and when he re-bandage my finger, he only put a moist bandage on one small part so now, two days later, I’m trying to take this bandage off and it’s going to rip all of my skin off. I have tried putting ointment on and moistening it. It is not working and I am now going to be contacting an attorney because this hospital should not be working with peoples health if this is how they behave."
"ER was likely more packed yesterday (Dec 18, 2023) due to a major storm. We arrived with 7 month old having difficulty breathing due to croup. Took a while to get to triage and then longer to a room. Feel like since there is normal and pediatric ER that there should be different triage for each. Once we were in room (they said it was cleaned but there were food crumbs on the floor) the care was good but felt like we had to repeat ourselves with some info. Our son stabilized after treatment and we were able to be discharged pretty quickly. I get that it's an ER but ultimately feel like kids, and especially infants should get higher priority, especially for initial triage. If our son's O2 level wasn't normal when we arrived I feel like things could have not ended as well"
"Staff is very kind and helpful. The wait time was atrocious- 6 hour wait in the waiting room, just to be put in a DIRTY room the size of a walk in closet with 4 other patients hacking up their insides. Also- no beds just recliners. If I wait 6 hours to be seen i at least expect cleanliness. Especially at a medial facility. I watched nurses not even clean after each patient left, just a quick wipe down of the chair. Also a lot of miscommunication. Many nurses trying to do blood and exams for wrong patients. Disappointed."
