Reviews
"All the negative reviews are correct. Never again , there are other options out there, well worth it even if they’re a little out of the way. My son had a hole in his eye and we waited 4 hours while he cried in agony and no one thought much to even look in his eye. I had to leave and take him to Sturdy and within an hour he was seen and diagnosed. I’m so mad because now my son has to wait throughout the night to see a specialist and he is still in agonizing pain. Response to the response. No need for me to call, you guys already waisted enough of my time , you won’t get anymore with a phone call. My complaint is similar to others on here and yet these problems still persist"
"This place is ridiculous backwards, they didn’t have my daughter medicine for pain until I asked for it, staff at the entrance very dirty mouth saying bad words in from my kid like seriously you work where there’s kids and this grown people talking like they are in their hood. This people should act more professional and respectful. I will never take my kid here ever. So many hours of waiting waste of time."
"This emergency room is incredibly awful. We spent almost 9 hours there and never saw a doctor. Our daughter was crying from hunger toward the end of our wait (because she had been vomiting profusely for hours). I asked if they could bring her something to eat, which they never did. The waiting room space is extremely small, you are shoulder to shoulder with everyone. After the many many hours of waiting, I finally asked a nurse if she had any idea when our daughter would get to see a doctor, and she told me they only had one doctor on staff, and that they currently had zero doctors there as there was a shift change happening. She did not know honestly when we'd ever get to see a doctor. We had already paid for her hospital visit, and were in a room. Yes, they were prompt to charge us! One of the assistants kept coming in our room to have us fill out paperwork and was extremely loud and kept slamming the door and our daughter was so exhausted and trying to rest. We kept asking her to not slam the door open and shut repeatedly, which she ignored and continued to wake up our ill child. I was so disgusted and fed up by the near 9 hour mark. I understand there are staffing shortages around the country, but for a children's hospital- and supposedly 'one of the best in the country' to be running this way is frightening and unconscionable. We took our daughter to carewell urgent care the following day and recieved prompt and respectful service. I will never return to this hospital."
"Horrendous. Filthy disgusting place. Wait times are astronomical. Everything is filthy dirty and gross. This place should be completely demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. Employees included. An embarrassment to children’s health."
"It's a cesspool. Avoid at all costs, especially if your child does not arrive by ambulance. No parking, no safety masks worn by medical staff. Staff is so immune to hunan suffering. We were there nearly 12 hours, then they sent us home with instructions for treatment that should have been done at the hospital. Our family Dr was appalled as were we."
