"An exceptional experience! I’ve been here four times in the last 2 weeks because it just continues to impress. Highlights: the spicy maple margarita, the tuna crudo (I want to drink an entire jug of this sauce), the roasted carrot labneh special, the steak frites (again with the drinkable sauce—a Demi glacé), the swordfish special, the Nashville hot chicken sando, the mushroom toast. Don’t sleep on the desserts either—their special apple almond cake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Cozy, cute, great ambiance, great service, great GREAT food."
"First time visiting after many recommendations and definitely worth the hype! Not for a picky eater but rather for the local foodie. Service and food were exceptional with an awesome vibe. I really enjoyed the swordfish after 5 dinner plate! Decent drink menu including local brews. Look forward to returning."
"Outstanding combination of flavors in the small plate meals. Perfect for sharing. Space is tight. Loud when it is crowded. Good beer wine and cocktail selections. Overall: The food is magnificent."
"The new restaurant from the people who have the 'Butterhead' food truck (one of the best) takes their skill and style to a new level. We shared an appetizer that was seriously good. Fresh-made labneh, with pickled root veg, sourdough toasts, and a poached egg was a delicious and really well thought out and executed way to start. I had a roasted pork belly special and she had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Food was on point. Service was excellent. Good music with a mix of genres set a mood with the interesting and eclectic art and decor. The restaurant might be new but the owners aren't new to restaurants. They just got their liquor license, so cocktails are on the way. Currently they serve beer and wine. This is a very impressive addition to the local food scene. Purslane is elevating things in a relaxed way, whether it's a sandwich or something more sophisticated. This is a restaurant that would fit in with the best of Portland, ME or Providence, but it's right in downtown Wakefield. Lucky us!"
"Was ecstatic to see a new restaurant in town. After checking out the menu online I turned up the next day. My Banh Mi was refreshing, and delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Great place for a quick bite or a relaxed lunch/dinner with friends. It is a perfect addition to our downtown Wakefield strip."
