Tamarlane Apartments

"Beware of these apartments; they are poorly built with gigantic gaps between walls and floors, moldy roofs, and persistently broken closet doors. Despite multiple attempts to fix them, the doors are so cheap they break within hours. Maintenance staff changes frequently, contributing to chaos in the management office. I once called for a kitchen cabinet repair, but the job was so poorly done that I had to redo it myself. A shelf, instead of being fixed, was left outside for two days. A request for a screen door replacement nearly two years ago remains unresolved. The kitchen faucet broke, and despite a first attempt, I had to call again as the issue persisted. The maintenance guy initially dismissed it as a simple fix, but later admitted the entire thing had rotted from the inside. The need to call for the same issue multiple times raises concerns about professionalism and carelessness. Upon moving out, an extensive, seemingly unreasonable checklist is provided, attempting to extract more money for what feels like a poorly constructed cardboard box marketed as a castle."

"My husband and I moved in when the pandemic got started. We love living here and have no plans of leaving anytime soon. The pool is wonderful every summer and our dogs absolute love stretching out at the dog park located right next to the pool. Great place to live!"

"Unbelievably nice Property Managers, always available to answer questions. The grounds are kept immaculate year round, landscaping on point and plowing is always done when they say it will. The pool and patio are always clean and taken care of, a real treat to have in Maine during the summer."

"My wife and I lived here for a year with our dog. It is very dog-friendly: There are ample grounds for roaming, a very large private dog park on campus, and Canco Woods is easily accessible through a trail at the front of the property. We found the other tenants to be pleasant, and the management and maintenance staff were always friendly and responsive. On two occasions we needed to submit a maintenance request, and the issues were addressed within a day. We also found the tenant portal to be convenient and easy to use."

"I have lived at Tamarlane for the past three years and have loved it. I have two large dogs and this apartment complex is very dog friendly (pretty much everyone has a dog and they have a private dog park). It is hard to find dog friendly apartments in Portland so I am grateful for this place. The leasing and maintenance staff has always been wonderful and very prompt to answer any of my questions or requests. My apartment is very nice and reasonably priced for Portland. Safe neighborhood. I would highly recommend this apartment complex to my friends, especially if they have dogs!"
